Terms of service
Last updated: October 21, 2026
By creating an account or using Lecquiz, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Using Lecquiz
You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password private, and for what happens under it. Give us accurate information and tell us if you think your account has been compromised.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recordings, notes and quizzes you add ("your content"). You give Lecquiz a limited license to store, process and display your content only as needed to operate the service for you, including sending it to the providers described in our privacy policy. If you share a quiz with a code, you allow anyone with that code to view and take it.
You promise that you have the right to upload and use what you add. In particular:
- Only record or upload lectures when you have permission to do so. Many schools and instructors have rules about recording, and some places require everyone's consent.
- Do not upload or paste copyrighted material you don't have the right to use, such as commercial textbooks, publisher test banks, or official exam-board publications and secure exam content.
- Photograph only the contents page of a book you own or have the right to use, and only to list its chapter titles. Do not upload IB Subject Guides, AP course descriptions or other exam-board documents.
- Course outlines you share are visible to other students in the same course. Share only the weekly topics, and do not include instructors' or classmates' names, emails or phone numbers, or exam questions and answers. Don't use outlines to share material your instructor has not made available to the class.
- Do not include other people's private information in content you share.
Acceptable use
Do not use Lecquiz to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass anyone, cheat on assessments in violation of the rules that apply to you, upload malware, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, or bypass its limits (including rate limits and upload limits). We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
AI-generated material
Transcripts, cards and structured quizzes are produced with automated speech recognition and AI. They can contain errors, omissions or misheard words. Review them before relying on them, and verify important facts against your course materials. Lecquiz is a study aid and does not guarantee any grade or exam result.
Availability and changes
Lecquiz is an early product. Features, limits and pricing may change, and the service may be interrupted. We may add or remove features, and if we make a material change to these terms we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
Ending your account
You can stop using Lecquiz at any time and may ask us to delete your account through our contact page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk, and we will terminate the accounts of repeat copyright infringers as described below.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
Lecquiz is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lecquiz and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or grades, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Lecquiz infringes your copyright, follow the steps on our Copyright / DMCA page, which names our designated agent and has a notice form. We disable access to material identified in a valid notice, tell the user who added it, and restore it after a valid counter-notice unless the claimant files a court action. We close the accounts of repeat infringers: if your account receives 3 valid copyright notices within 12 months, we will terminate it. Material derived from the same source (for example every quiz and copy made from one lecture) is disabled together.
General
These terms are the whole agreement between you and Lecquiz about the service. If a part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. Questions about these terms? Contact us.
